Due to the success of previous Parenting Skills Workshops
with Lorrine
Marer, a Behavioural Specialist and ADHD Coach, and with funding from the
Youth Inclusion Support Panel (YISP), we are pleased to announce another workshop course.
Parents who participated in earlier courses found the programme very helpful.
Comments from the questionnaires we asked parents to complete consisted of:
- "Friendly relaxed atmosphere
although dealing with serious issues it was done in a light hearted way but very
thoroughly and effectively"
- "At last we were given some
constructive help by someone who clearly understood our problems and provided
us with the 'tools' to change our lives"
- "Immediate practical guidance
and solutions"
- "Finding out what to do differently. This is more complex parenting skills than most courses offer"
This course is open to all Add+up parents and carers whose
name appears on the membership form. During the course we may be inviting along
professionals, which would enable us to seek more funding to continue this work.
If you would like to participate in these workshops please contact us on 01708-454040
Places will be limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.
